Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Home Assets iOS application (the “App”) and this support website handle information. Home Assets is provided by an independent developer based in Malaysia (“we”, “us” or “our”).
1. Information you enter
The App lets you create and manage home-inventory records, which may include:
- asset names, categories, rooms and placement descriptions;
- asset photographs and placement photographs;
- serial numbers, model identifiers, QR identifiers and scanned barcode values;
- purchase dates, vendors, prices, invoice numbers and warranty dates;
- invoice images or PDF attachments; and
- notes and other information you choose to enter.
This information is stored locally within the App on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your home-inventory records.
2. Camera access
The App may use your camera when you choose to:
- take an asset or placement photograph;
- scan a Home Assets QR label; or
- scan a supported product barcode into the Serial Number field.
Camera content is processed on your device. It is not uploaded to us. You may manage camera permission through iOS Settings.
3. Photos and files
When you choose to attach an image, the App may use Apple’s photo-selection interface or request appropriate photo access. Only items that you select or capture are added to your records.
When you choose to attach an invoice PDF, the App uses Apple’s file-selection interface so that you can select the document. Selected images and PDFs remain associated with the App’s locally stored data.
4. QR codes, barcodes and document generation
QR codes, barcode recognition, CSV reports and QR-label PDF files are generated or processed locally on your device. The App does not upload those records or generated files to us.
5. Sharing and exporting
When you intentionally use Email, AirDrop, Print, Save to Files or another option in the iOS share sheet, the selected export is passed to the destination you choose. That action is initiated and controlled by you.
Third-party apps or services that receive a shared file handle it under their own privacy policies. We do not automatically share your records.
6. Purchases and plan status
Monthly, Annual and Lifetime purchases are processed through the App Store. The App uses RevenueCat to manage purchase options, verify receipts, restore purchases and determine whether an eligible purchase or subscription entitlement is active.
We do not receive your Apple ID password, full payment-card details or billing credentials. Payment processing is handled by Apple.
RevenueCat may process information needed to provide subscription functionality, such as an anonymous app user identifier, purchase history, receipts, product and entitlement status, limited device or app information and related technical logs. Home Assets does not send your name, email address or home-inventory records to RevenueCat.
RevenueCat may use purchase-related information for app functionality and service analytics, such as entitlement validation, fraud prevention, debugging and service reliability. You can review RevenueCat’s privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
7. Information the current App does not collect
The App does not intentionally collect or transmit to us:
- your name, email address or telephone number;
- your precise or approximate location;
- contacts or address-book information;
- advertising identifiers;
- health information;
- usage analytics;
- tracking information; or
- your home-inventory records, photographs, invoices or exports.
8. No advertising, analytics or tracking
The current App does not contain advertising networks, cross-app tracking or profiling tools. We do not use analytics to monitor your home-inventory records, photos, invoices, searches, reports or exports.
RevenueCat may process limited purchase-related analytics for subscription service operation as described in the Purchases and plan status section above.
9. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you voluntarily include, such as your email address, message and attachments. We use it to respond, investigate issues, prevent abuse and maintain reasonable support records.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal documents in a support email.
10. Website hosting
This website is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical information associated with website requests, such as IP addresses, browser information and server logs, according to GitHub’s own privacy terms. This website does not use our own advertising cookies or analytics scripts.
11. Storage, deletion and retention
You control your App records. You may edit or delete records within the App. Deleting the App may remove its local data, subject to device backups or operating-system behavior outside our control.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain support history, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse or resolve disputes.
Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase, receipt and entitlement records as needed to process purchases, restore subscriptions, prevent fraud, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations and maintain accounting records.
12. Security and backups
Home Assets uses Apple platform security features, but no storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or immune from data loss. You are responsible for maintaining independent copies of irreplaceable receipts, photographs, warranty records and other important documents.
13. Children’s privacy
Home Assets is a general utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, applicable laws or our information practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
